What are the key measures for dust pollution prevention and control technology in graphite product processing?

A large amount of dust will be generated during the graphite product processing, which will not only pollute the environment, but also endanger the health of workers. Therefore, it is crucial to adopt effective dust pollution prevention and control technology.

One of the key measures is to create a closed working space. Place the graphite processing equipment in a relatively closed space to reduce the spread of dust to the workshop and the surrounding environment. For example, a special graphite processing room can be set up, well-sealed doors and windows can be installed, and sealing covers can be set at the feed inlet, discharge port and other parts of the equipment where dust is easy to leak. In this way, the dust can be confined to a specific area, the degree of dust diffusion in the workshop can be reduced, and favorable conditions can be created for subsequent dust collection and treatment.

Installing an efficient ventilation and dust removal system is a core measure to prevent and control dust pollution. The ventilation system can promptly discharge the dust generated during the processing from the working space to keep the air fresh. In the ventilation system, the air duct should be reasonably designed to ensure uniform distribution of airflow and improve dust collection efficiency. At the same time, it is equipped with efficient dust collectors, such as bag dust collectors and cyclone dust collectors. Bag dust collectors can intercept and adsorb dust through filter bags, and the dust removal efficiency can be as high as 99% or more; cyclone dust collectors use centrifugal force to separate dust from airflow, and have a good removal effect on larger particles of dust. The combination of the two can effectively remove dust of different particle sizes and reduce the dust concentration discharged into the atmosphere.

Wet operation is also an effective means to reduce dust pollution. In the process of graphite product processing, water spraying and water mist dust suppression can be used. For example, in graphite cutting and grinding processes, by spraying water mist on the processing part, the dust particles are adsorbed by water and settled, thereby reducing the flying of dust. In addition, wet grinding process can also be used to change the traditional dry grinding to grinding fluid, which can not only effectively suppress dust generation, but also play a cooling and lubricating role, improving processing quality and tool life.

It is an essential measure to equip workers with appropriate personal protective equipment. Workers should wear dust masks, protective glasses, work clothes, etc. during operation. Dust masks should be selected with high filtration efficiency and good air permeability, which can effectively filter graphite dust in the air and protect workers' respiratory tract; protective glasses can prevent dust from entering the eyes and avoid eye damage; work clothes can prevent dust from adhering to workers and reduce dust contact and pollution to the body.

Regular maintenance and management of processing equipment and dust control equipment are also critical. For graphite processing equipment, worn parts should be checked and replaced in time to prevent increased dust leakage due to equipment failure. For ventilation and dust removal systems, dust in the dust collector should be cleaned regularly, bags should be checked for damage, and damaged parts should be replaced in time to ensure the normal operation of the system. At the same time, the entire dust control system should be regularly tested and evaluated, and prevention and control measures should be adjusted according to the test results to ensure the effectiveness of dust pollution prevention and control.

Dust pollution prevention and control in the graphite product processing process requires a combination of key measures, including confined working space, efficient ventilation and dust removal system, wet operation method, personal protective equipment, and equipment maintenance and management. Through the coordinated implementation of these measures, dust pollution can be effectively reduced, the environment and workers' health can be protected, and the sustainable development of the graphite product processing industry can be achieved.
